Placement will be calculated based on points per game accurately predicted.  For each successive round, more points are awarded:

• 1 point for each correct pick in Round 1
• 2 points for each correct pick in Round 2
• 3 points for each correct pick in Round 3
• 4 points for each correct pick in Round 4
• 5 points for each correct pick in Round 5
• 6 points for the correct Champion

Tie Breakers are calculated as follows:
The pool provides a Tie Breaker - Total points of Championship Game, we will use this number for all Tie Breakers not just the Championship Game.  If multiple players are tied for the highest points for any given round, the player with the closest tie breaker prediction, regardless if they are over or under, to the actual tie breaker value is the winner. If multiple players are still tied, then the player who entered their tie breaker value first*, wins.  The tie breaking game has been designated for Round 1 and 2, the Sweet 16 and the Elite 8, and is shown in the attached document March Madness 2017 Bracket Tie Breaker games.pdf.  IE: I submit a Tie Breaker prediction of 192.  That number will be used to for Round 1 and 2, Sweet 16, Elite 8 and the Championship game. 

* The player with the earliest date/time stamp for entering their picks. Please note that the date/time stamp is updated every time a player's picks and/or tie breaker are edited.
